Fifth annual Art of Great Fashion features Saks Fifth Avenue presenting St. John Knits
The Telfair Academy Guild and the Telfair Museum of Art announce the Fifth Annual Art of Great Fashion event to benefit the museum will be held on Oct. 19, featuring, for the first time, two shows.
The event, featuring Saks Fifth Avenue presenting St. John Knits, will be held at the Plantation Club at The Landings on Skidaway Island. The sold out luncheon show will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a reception, silent auction and trunk show. A runway fashion show begins at 11:30 a.m. The second show will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a reception, silent auction and trunk show. Guest will then enjoy the fashion show starting at 4:15 p.m. followed by Dining Delights at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person.

The silent auction items have been generously donated to support both this event and the museum. Items include: St. John Knits outfit donated by Saks Fifth Avenue, 2 nights stay at the Ritz Carleton Palm Beach donated by Four Seasons Travel, white gold and ruby necklace designed by Craig Burgess donated by A & C Jewelers, signed Jack Leigh image donated by the Jack Leigh Gallery, gift certificate to Marigold Hair Concepts, gift certificate to New Youth Spa, Movado watch donated by Movado, dinner for two at Hunter House, and more great items.
This years Art of Great Fashion chairman is Kathy Levitt, with Florence Anderson as Co-Chair. Community members selected from Telfair's Board of Trustees, the Telfair Academy Guild, the William Jay Society, the Telfair Ball Committee, and the Telfair Museum of Art staff will model the St. John Knits fall collection, many of which reside in the Landings.
Models include: Libba Anderson, Julie Coulter, Connnie. Darbyshire, Carey Daughtry, Judy Eckburg, Kim. Gay, Lynetta Hartson, Tiffany Hughes, Alice Jepson, Tanya McCormick, Joanne Merritt, Grace Merritt, Ethel Pendergrass, Nancy Peterson, Lisa Pinyan, Meredith Repella, Swann Seiler, Ellen Spitz and Charlotte Kitchen.

The Telfair Academy Guild is the largest of the Telfair's support groups, with more than 250 members who provide volunteers services, host fundraising events and attend social and educational activities.
